Hatsune Miku is coming back to North America Spring 2016, this time bigger than ever!

Two years after her successful Fall 2014 live concerts in Los Angeles and New York, virtual singer Hatsune Miku prepares to return to the North-American continent in Spring 2016 for "HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2016 North America", her longest and largest overseas tour to this date.

The HATSUNE MIKU EXPO world tour is a series of live concert events starring Hatsune Miku, the first-of-her-kind virtual artist, performing on stage through synthesized voice and CG animation. The first edition took place in Jakarta, Indonesia in May 2014, followed by Los Angeles and New York in October the same year, and Shanghai, China in June 2015. The 2016 edition of HATSUNE MIKU EXPO will begin with a series of concerts in five cities in Japan, before crossing the Pacific Ocean to perform in six more cities across North America: Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Toronto, New York.

The place was jammed pack with screaming Otakus waiting for the arrival for their favorite Vocaloid. If you never been to a Vocaloid concert it truly is an experience. I took a visit to Wallplay art gallery today for the Hatsune Miku Art Exhibition, which running  is from October 9th to the 18th. The art gallery showcases various art, illustrations and figurines of Hatsune Miku. We were also treated to a guest appearance by Tetsuya Nomura, the director of Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy XV. Tetsuya revealed the new design for Hatsune Miku and I will tell you that it looks realistic.

Hatsune Miku US Expo Coming to NY & LA

"Hatsune Miku Expo" is coming to this U.S. this fall. Part of a worldwide event inaugurated in Indonesia this spring, the expo will bring the cyber-celebrity Hatsune Miku to Los Angeles and New York City this October. The "Hatsune Miku Expo" will give fans a chance to celebrate the cultural movement surrounding the success of this global icon through a comprehensive expo featuring a revolutionary 3D live show, fan-gathering activities and art exhibitions.
Hatsune Miku will perform at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre on October 11 and 12, and New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on October 17and 18. While in Los Angeles, a two-day Halloween-themed event and exhibition will take place in downtown LA. In New York, the Lower East Side gallery and concept space Wallplay will host, over a period of eleven days, a selection of outstanding Hatsune Miku artworks using various media.

The Hatsune Miku 3D Live Show is a new form of entertainment with no limits to the viewer's imagination. The 3D live show is where the most popular songs issued from the community are performed by a live band along with the projected virtual singer Hatsune Miku, who thanks to cutting-edge technology is made to appear as if she was actually on stage. These shows are a unique event where creators can go and celebrate their own art among the other fans.
The Hatsune Miku 3D live show sold out immediately upon its announcement in Japan and several other cities around the world, and saw Hatsune Miku perform in front of an estimated 85,000 people. In the spring of 2014, Hatsune Miku was chosen as Lady Gaga's opening act on her North American Art Pop tour.
 
 

Hatsune Miku Designer KEI Coming To J-Pop Summit 2014

If you have been following us on Twitter then you know I will be attending this year's J-Pop Summit. Today the festival announced that Hatsune Miku designer KEI will be a guest of honor. You can read the official details below. I will keep you posted on more developments on J-Pop Summit 2014.

Character designer KEI will appear in-person in the Kinokuniya booth beginning at 1:00pm on both Saturday, July 19th and Sunday, July 20th to have special autograph session for the fans who purchase his illustrated art books, Hatsune Miku Project DIVA F or Hatsune Miku Project DIVA F 2ndOn both days, the first 100 people to purchase either title also will have the opportunity to autograph by KEI. Fans will also receive a free Hatsune Miku poster as a special gift with purchase. 



Takashi Murakami, And Pharrell Present The Music Video For "Last Night, Good Night"

Pharrell and Miku who would of ever imagine that this would happen. The Creators Project today premiered the exclusive animated music video for “Last Night, Good Night (Re:Dialed),” the theme song for Takashi Murakami’s debut film Jellyfish Eyes. Pharrell Williams, Murakami’s frequent collaborator, remixed the song by livetune, which also features Hatsune Miku, a “virtual idol” developed from vocaloid software who has a huge cult following in Japan. Murakami then animated the song in his signature style. Check out the video below.

LIVE VIEWING JAPAN ANNOUNCES L.A. & NYC THEATRES FOR HATSUNE MIKE CONCERT FILM ON 8/31

Live Viewing Japan, a distribution company focused on bringing Japanese entertainment media to an international audience, has announced the New York City and Los Angeles theatre locations that will screen the East and West Coast premieres of the Hatsune Miku MAGICAL MIRAI 2013 Concert on August 31st.
 
This special film celebrates the 6th birthday of the world’s renowned virtual idol, Hatsune Miku, by capturing a special commemorative live concert scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 30th at the Yokohama Area in Yokohama, Japan.
