Read MoreHey O&G fans, author Joseph Hedges is writing a book on the history on one of the great comic book studios. Started in 1992 Wild Storm began under Image comics and quickly became it's own brand. In 1998, DC Comics bought WildStorm -- both its characters, universe, and its staff contracts -- to join the fold of its DC Multiverse.
This oral history project’s goal is to present a detailed account of the nineteen years that WildStorm Studios existed as its own independent studio, publishing under Image Comics, through its purchase and eventual closure by DC Comics. WildStorm helped shape the comic book industry in many ways and deserves to have its story told through the very words of its creators and staff. These men and women shepherded the creation of a universe of characters that resonated throughout a generation. Please see the “Forms” section for interviewee details.
So lets show Joseph Hedges our support and spread the word. Below are links to the site and all social Media. Visit the WildStorm Oral History site for details on the project.

Hey O&G fan today we have a look at Inferno, one of the story lines from Secret Wars. Here is a look at the Darkchyld and Night crawler designs. The designs, by Garron show Illyana Rasputin going back to an old style and Nightcrawler evolving into something pretty demonic.
The Inferno series is essentially a story asking "What If the original 'Inferno' crossover never ended?" In this series, the X-Men lost and Darkchylde and her minions conquered Manhattan. Now, five years on, her brother Colossus is mounting a last-ditch effort to rescue his sister and the world. This will be a little different from the original Inferno story arc from 1989.

Angel concept art from X-Men: Age of Apocalypse

According to Empire, actor Ben Hardy has been confirmed as Angel in X-Men: Apocalypse by director Bryan Singer. Speaking to the UK mag, Singer had this to say, “Ben Hardy is Angel – I shall confirm it for you! But he’s not a very nice Angel! And that’s all I’ll say…”
This ends speculation as to Hardy's role. Images available with the announcement showed Angel with metallic wings, as in those given to the character by Apocalypse himself, which leads to speculation that the character will be or become the villainous Archangel in the film. But asusming he's Archangel, the question remains, who is Archangel?
X-Men: Apocalypse is set for a May 19, 2016 release

Game of Thrones star (Ed Skreins) revealed via Twitter his character in the 2016 Deadpool movie will be Ajax.
Twitter Link:
#deadpool #ajax pic.twitter.com/wfyRU9i9fV
Here is a quick history of the Ajax Character from the Deadpool comics:
The man known only as Francis was the former enforcer at Dr. Killebrew's laboratory, known as the Workshop, part of the Hospice for failed supersoldiers at the Weapon X Project. Francis acted as the strongarm for Killebrew, reigning in the project's "washouts" that were fodder for Killebrew's sadistic experiments whenever they stepped out of line. This included Wade Wilson, who would later be known as the mercenary Deadpool.
Having had his nerves removed by Killebrew for better pain management, he would later have enhanced strength and intuitive capability, as well as receiving subcutaneous implants for super-speed and agility.
Deadpool looks to be shaping up well. Ryan Reynolds will star in the title role of the film along with TJ Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Morena Baccarin as Copycat. The film will also feature the mutant Colossus, though Daniel Cudmore has confirmed he will not appear as the character.
Deadpool is set for release February 12, 2016

Yesterday in true April Fools fashion the above video was posted on behalf of Marvel's Deadpool. It is a must see. Enjoy!
After Ryan Reynolds showed off the costume he'll be wearing as the title star in 2016's Deadpool, 20th Century Fox gave fans another treat by revealing the logo for the upcoming movie, synopsis, and Title Card.
SYNOPSIS:
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
Deadpool is scheduled for release February 12, 2016, and stars Reynolds along with Gina Carano, Morena Baccarin and T.J. Miller.
Director Bryan Singer dropped a bomb on X-men fans, that we’ll see Jubilation Lee in the upcoming sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past, titled X-Men: Apocalypse played by newcomer Lana Condor!
Condor joins an already robust cast that includes Alexandra Shipp (House of Anubis) as Storm, Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones) as Jean Grey, and Tye Sheridan (Mud) as play Cyclops. Last month, it was revealed that Austrlian actor Kodi Smit-McPhee will be playing Nightcrawler.
As for her character, Jubilee, a.k.a. Jubilation Lee, is a mutant with the power to generate pyrotechnic energy plasmoids from her hands. She was the X-Men's youngest member in the early '90s, and developed a father-daughter-like relationship with Wolverine.
A Wolverine tie-in with the film has yet to be mentioned officially, but Hugh Jackman -- who has played the character in just about every major motion picture of late -- is rumored to make a cameo. It'll be interesting to see how the two interact in X-Men: Apocalypse.
