Original Story: The X-Men have been described as "uncanny," "astonishing," "all-new" and "all-different" - but a leaked issue of Wednesday's All-New X-Men #40 shows off a new side of a founding X-Man that might not be too much of a surprise for long-time fans.

**SPOILERS AHEAD FOR ALL-NEW X-MEN #40 **

The Advocate was one of many sources Tuesday morning to report that in this week's All-New X-Men #40, founding X-Man Bobby Drake/Iceman - at least the one pulled from the past in All-New X-Men's launch - is revealed as gay. The news comes by way of leaked pages from the book that

Marvel later confimed with Newsarama to be legitimate.

"There are thousands if not millions of stories of people who, for many different reasons, felt the need to hide their sexuality. The X-Men, with the conceit of time travel, give us a fascinating platform in which to examine such personal journeys,” Bendis said. “This is just the first little chapter of a much larger story that will be told.”

The scene in question shows Jean Grey pulling Drake aside to call him out on comments made to female X-Men. When pressed, Grey reveals she used telepathy to invade his mind to discover that Drake was overcompensating to disguise the fact that he is gay. After initially denying it and pointing out that his older, modern-day self has not come out, Drake and Grey come to some terms with it. Below are the pages in question, again confirmed by Marvel to be legitimate.

All-New X-Men #40 is scheduled for release April 22, 2015.
