Review: Kingston MobileLite G4 SD/microSD Card Reader

The Kingston MobileLite G4 is a dual SD/microSD card reader that's less than half the size of a credit card. It connects via USB 3 interface for fast copying that's only limited by the speed of your card in most cases. Don't take our word for it - watch the video and see for yourself as we copy files to and from an SD card.

In a nutshell, you'll want to use a USB 3 port for the fastest read and write speeds, but it's also worth noting that it's backwards compatible with USB 2. It's also compatible with the latest desktop operating systems, including:

  • Windows 10, 8, 7 (SP 1)

  • Mac OS X 10.9.x +

  • Mac OS 9 10.12.x +

  • Linux 2.6.x +

I like this product because its portable size doesn't take away from its ability to copy things quickly. Whether I'm transferring RAW files or video from my DSLR's SD card or Instagram photos from my phone's microSD card - the Kingston MobileLite G4 makes sure the job gets done consistently, each and every time.

Oh, and the product comes with a 2 year warranty.
