MSI shows us their entry level X299 SLI Plus gaming motherboard with m.2 slots and steel armor on the PCIe slots.
Their top of the line GPU, the Gaming X 11G (GeForce GTX 1080 Ti) has 11GB of memory, plenty of output ports for up to four concurrent displays, and Twin Frozr technology to keep the cards cool while you game.
For smaller chassis (or if you don't need as much oomph), check out their Aero 8G (GeForce GTX 1070), which is quite powerful in itself with 8GB memory and still great for setting up a VR machine.
