Movie News: TOM HARDY Leaves SUICIDE SQUAD, JAKE GYLLENHAAL Has Offer to Replace Him

DC's Suicide Squad movie is already dropping bodies, and filming hasn't even begun yet. But just like the comics, they've already got a replacement in mind.

The Hollywood Reporter has news that Tom Hardy, who was set to play group leader Rick Flagg, has dropped out of the movie due to scheduling. According to unnamed sources, Hardy had to back out of Suicide Squad, which begins shooting in April, because the movie he's currently filming, The Revenant, has gone over schedule. Add to that the press tour for May's Warner Bros. release Mad Max: Fury Road, and Hardy would have been hard pressed to to fit into Suicide Squad's schedule.
