IMAGE AND TOP COW INVADE THE EMERALD CITY

Marc Silvestri provides exclusive art for Emerald City Comicon

Top Cow Productions, Inc. and Image Comics invite you to join them from March 30th through April 1st at the 10th annual Emerald City Comicon (ECCC) held at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Washington.

Special Guest and Top Cow founder Marc Silvestri provides this year’s ECCC program guide cover, which features iconic characters from each of the current Image partners. Witchblade, Spawn, Savage Dragon, Shadowhawk and Invincible crouch atop the iconic Space Needle in an homage to the classic King Kong scene. Silvestri penciled and inked the incredibly detailed image and Sunny Gho of IFS provided the colors.

To commemorate the decade-long Seattle institution, the artwork will also be available as an Exclusive Print at the Top Cow Booth (#414), and an Exclusive T-Shirt will be available at the ECCC Booth (#514).

“ECCC is known as one of the best comic shows around and I can't wait to hang out with the fans and share the love of comics!” said Silvestri. “I was honored when asked to do the cover for the con program to help celebrate ECCC and the 20th anniversary of Image Comics, and I couldn't think of anything more appropriate than a West Coast version of King Kong! But, unlike the original chest-thumping ape, these Image monkeys aren't falling off the building!”

I'm not too sure who see's my random post. tweets, rants, and etc. about Japanese teen model turned J-Pop star, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu ... But if not, let me be among the first to tell you that I'm a bit of a fan.









This girl, if you have not heard of her, has spunk! And while I'm sure her life has it's ups, downs, and in betweens, her bubbly Harajuku personality always seems to shine through! Aside from that, I'm extremely fascinated when you see people who have a gazillion different looks, the same personality, but somehow seemingly change into a different person with each look. A lot like an everyday Cosplay kinda lifestyle. While I'm not one for a lot of words in my posts, here's a GREAT interview, if you want to know a bit more about her. Aside from that, if you speak Japanese, be sure to check out her official blog.

Confession Of An RPG Addict

Every gamer has that one genre that he or she absolutely loves, a genre that they can't possibly live without. For me it's RPG's. Now it has been brought to my attention that I have a seriously problem. I have an addiction to RPG's. To rephrase it I'm guilty of buying the most popular RPG's playing them for a month, then when the new one comes out I go play that one, ignoring the previous RPG. In other words I don't beat the RPG games I buy! I just play usually get distracted with another RPG and boom, the other one is in the picture.  See the picture below and you will see these RPG's I need to finish, and this is not including the RPG's that I have for Wii and PSN. I confess I have this impulse RPG spending, there are times I just buy an RPG for no reason. I have found a solution to my problem. Self control is the solution. I have vow that I will not be buying any RPG until I at least beat three of the RPG's in this picture. I'm only going to focus on three at a time. The games I will play will be Tales Of Graces, Tales Of The Abyss (which I'm loving) and Final Fantasy XIII-2. I can't help myself when it comes to RPG's. Especially when it's JRPGS. The stories, the music, the gameplay, the themes it's all addictive. I love RPG's, but I realize I have an addiction too it. I will beat these games and move on to new ones. What genre are you addict too gamers?

BLEACH MASKED: OFFICIAL CHARACTER BOOK 2 REVIEW

If there is one thing any fan of characterization love is an in depth look at their favorite characters. I just finish reading the second character book for the Manga "Bleach." The book is entitled "Bleach Masked: Official Character Book 2." The book takes an in depth look at the "Bleach" characters from the Manga volumes of 21 - 37. After reading this book you get a better understanding on the characters, why their appearances are that way, what blood type, height, even little cliff notes giving you a specific meaning of why things are a certain way. The book is pretty lengthy it's 272 pages long. The book also includes an in depth interview with Tite Kubo talks his favorite character, story arcs and more. 


Overall the book is well done. It gives a great insight on the world of  "Bleach." This is a really great book for fans of "Bleach" and people looking to get more deeper into the "Bleach" universe. It's worth the buy and geeking out over! Go pick it up!

PETER PANZERFAUST #2 SELLS OUT

Image Comics/Shadowline series continues success

PETER PANZERFAUST, the Image Comics/Shadowline series that places the classic character Peter Pan in World War II-era France, has sold out of its second issue at the distribution level a week before its in-store date of March 14. It has immediately gone back to press and a second printing (JAN128290) will be in stores the same day as PETER PANZERFAUST #3 (FEB120514), April 11.

The first issue of the series by Kurtis Wiebe and Tyler Jenkins also went into a second printing after an enthuisastic reception by critics, readers, and retailers. The second priting of PETER PANZERFAUST #1 will be in stores on March 21.

After having two issues in a row sell out, PETER PANZERFAUST has been expanded from a five-issue miniseries to an ongoing title, with PETER PANZERFAUST #6 shipping in September.

Wiebe is the writer of several Image series, including GREEN WAKE and the upcoming GRIM LEAPER (May) and DEBRIS (July).
