James Bond "Bloodstone" Hands On Preview

New York Comic Con was a blast and is officially over. Now it's time to tell you otakus and geeks about the great games we played. The first game that I couldn't wait to touch was James Bond "Bloodstone." The great thing about playing this demo was that you actually got to catch with the developers of the game. The great thing about this demo is that you had a wide range of levels to play. Their was the driving level, boat driving level and shoot levels.

Story - Well the developer I talk to Sandy was very tight lipped on the story. However Sandy did ensure that the story is original. The story was written by the same writer who wrote Goldeneye. Sandy said "We are really trying to give players the feel of Daniel Craig's James Bond. As you know James Bond is aggressive and want players to see that side of Bond." Judging from the cut scenes I saw which I won't spoil the game doesn't disappoint on story. It is very action packed. The driving stages run very smooth. I didn't have no control issues whatsoever. As I was driving buildings were blowing up and cars were shooting at James. However you won't be able to drive and shoot at the same time. As Sandy said "It would be very difficult to drive and shoot at the same time." I love the realism the game brings.

Gameplay - First let me talk about the shooting level. This new James Bond game is a 3rd person shooter. Unlike other Bond games this won't be in 1st person. I actually like that this is 3rd person, because of the aggressive nature that they are going for. Daniel Craig's James Bond uses a lot of hand to hand combat. That wouldn't work in first person. The gameplay is like your usual first person shooter. However their are situations where you have to decide whether you should stealth or go out guns blazing. Bloodstone introduces a focus feature in the game. Depending if you use hand to hand combat, the focus meter will fill up. The focus meter slows down the action making it easier to take out multiple targets. It's a nice way to take out multiple enemies. The hand to hand combat is very brutal. I slammed this guys head against the wall taking him out for sure.

Graphics - The graphics are similar to Quantum Of Solace game but way better. Character models are environments are great too look out. The driving level explosion are great. I didn't get any glitches during the demo.

Sound - The music is the game is wonderful. Pure James Bond sound it's very epic. Daniel Craig and Judi Dench reprise their roles and from the clips shown it's what you can expect from them.

Overall this game might be the best Bond to come out in a long time. Check out our full review in November.

NBA Jam Review

It has been years since an NBA Jam game was released by Midway. This time around EA Sports has the classic game on their hands. Is this new NBA Jam just as good as the old one? Or should you dust off the old Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo and play NBA Jam TE.

Story - Since this a sports game. Their is no story to this game. However if you want a story I will give you one. One day I went blah, blah, blah blah.

Gameplay - EA has delivered on the gameplay. Veteran players will feel right at home once they pop the game in. The game offers various modes to play from. There is the classic campaign mode, where players will choose a team of the choice and face the entire league. There is also new modes such as 1 on 1 boss battles. In this mode players will face NBA Legends in a one on one, toe to toe in a game. Elimination mode players will can take up to four players in an free for all. The player with the lowest score will be eliminated. Other modes include 21, which is a famous game in street ball. First player to score 21 points win. One of my favorite mode is "Smash." In this mode players will have to destroy the backboard strictly by slam dunks. Finally the Remix Tour which plays much like the game, only it has additions of powerups. This is nothing really new, if you played the NBA Jam TE in the old days. Some new powerups like speed, power and shrink. It's a welcome edition but it's not something you will be rushing to play.

The gameplay works very well on the Wii. EA Sports made sure there are many options on how to play. Players can play with the Wii Nunchunk and Mote and use the motion player option. Players will shoot and block by moving their body upwards and then down. Controlling the player will be used with the Nunchunk. However I felt playing with the motion sensor, was taking from the retro experience and found it more difficult. I suggest players to use the Wii Mote or Classic Controller, since it's more simple and easier to play. Sorry Gamecube owners the cube controller is not supported. The A.I. is challenging depending on the level you choose. I found the boss battles very fun to play. To go one on one with the legends and slam dunk in their faces is a blast. EA Sports have given the fans a true love letter and the gameplay doesn't disappoint. The only problem with this gameplay is their is no online play at all. I hope you have friends with the Wii who would like to play with you.

Gameplay Video

Graphics - The graphics stay true the original series with a few tweaks. The game still features real life photographs of the players with 3D model bodies. The crowd can't really be seen that well in the higher levels. However it's not something you will care about. The stadiums look clean and crisp. There was no framerate issues, everything runs smooth. Also yes fans the crowd still takes pictures when you are on fire.

Sound - The music in the game is pretty weak. It's not something you will bop your head too. However the commentary is pure classic NBA Jam. With new catch phrases and the famous line "He's on fire." Players will feel very nostalgic when listening to the commentary.

Replay Value - There are tons of things to unlock and Easter eggs to see. If you know NBA Jam then you know there are hidden celebrities in the game like the Beastie Boys, President Obama and Sarah Palin. The Jam challenges will keep you busy as you want to unlock everything in the game. With new modes, and harder difficulty the game will keep you playing. However no online play will keep online players away from this game.

Final Grade B+ - This game will make you feel nostalgia in the first the week of playing. The gameplay, sound and feel of NBA Jam is intact. With a few new additions like Remix Tour and Smash it breathes a new life into the franchise. However no online play and not much to offer after the game is complete, stops this game from being a solid A+. Final grade is B+.

FMA Day (Fullmetal Alchemist)

Hi everybody! In the FMA series October 3rd is a big date in FMA. Its the day Ed and Al burned their house down and started on their long journey in search to get their body back. Funimation decided to make this a real celebration and wants to know what this day means to you. Well FMA was really one of the first T.V 14 shows I watched on Adult Swim. I love this show. Even if it is anime, it shows so many lesson if you look and hear hard enough. This show taught me a lot about sacrifice and that in sometime "equivalent exchange" doesn't always work. I also love the humor in both the original and new series. So guys, watch the FMA or FMA Brotherhood and have yourself a Happy FMA Day! Anime Rules!!!!!!!!!! P.S tell Funimation on their blog or Facebook page what this day and series means to you ok? ^-^

Top Ten Villains Of The Dragonball Universe

If you are a regular reader to the site, or a listener to our podcast show. Then you know that I love the Dragonball Universe. Today I want to share with you my top ten picks of best villains. The list was not made up by the strongest to weakest. I made the list on what villain I think impacted the universe the most. Let's start shall we.

#10. King Piccolo

King Piccolo the huge threat in the Dragonball series. He was the first real baddie in DB. If it wasn't for Kid Goku using Penetrate attack. Who knows what rule King Piccolo would of had. King Piccolo gave birth to Piccolo Junior. The Piccolo we know today and love. Thanks King Piccolo.

#9. Cooler

If you are new to Dragonball then you probably don't know who Cooler is. That's because Cooler is not in the series of DB, DBZ, DBGT or DB Kai. Cooler was in two Dragonball Z movies. He is Frieza brother and some ways stronger and smarter. Cooler was a powerful opponent in the fifth movie. However it wasn't until the sixth movie that we see Metal Cooler. All I have to say is Goku and Vegeta are lucky.

8. Janemba

Janemba is featured in movie #12. He makes Super Saiyan 3 Goku look like a joke. He has two forms. The first form is this cute chubby demon looking thing. His second form he looks more like a devil. His attacks are amazing. Janemba can regenerate, teleport and he's a skilled swordsman. If he was in the series it would've taken a lot of episodes to bring him down.

7. Omega Shenron

The last villain in the Dragonball GT Series. He is also the most powerful. What made Omega Shenron different is the ending of the series. Due to the Omega Shenron Goku and the others had to rethink the way they use the Dragonballs. Omega also has one of the coolest attacks the Negative Karma Ball.

6. Vegeta

Vegeta was a great villain because he was driven. Driven to a single goal and that was to beat Goku. What makes Vegeta a great villain is that you never knew at times, whether he was on your team or for himself. Their were times Krillin and the others question his motives. Their is nothing more deadlier than a villain that comes as an ally.

5. Baby

Blasted Super Sayian 4 Goku! If it wasn't for Goku the last remaining Truffle would be running the universe. I love Baby! He was such a cool villain. He was like the invasion of the body snatcher but more bad ass. Baby Vegeta is my favorite form of him. He was the best saga in Dragonball GT.

4. Majin Buu

Majin Buu was one of the longest saga's in the DBZ series. Their was times that I thought that Buu was boring. Then I saw Super Buu and Kid Buu, and then I was saying wow this guy is sick. Super Buu has this psychotic appeal to him that sends chills down your spine. Also Majin Buu blew up the earth. How many DB villains can say that?

3. Broly

Broly just can't stay down. It took 3 movies to finally put an end to the legendary Super Sayian. If Broly ever reach a level beyond Super Sayian one their will be no more Dragonball. One of the most powerful threats in the series.

2. Frieza

Frieza is probably the most iconic villain in DBZ history. Frieza killed the Sayians, Krillian, Vegeta and countless of Namekian people. This dude was pure evil. He is also the reason for Goku becoming Super Sayian.

1. Cell & The Androids

Cell and the Androids was the biggest threat in DBZ series. The Z fighters had to train countless times to face this threat. Cell was one of the smartest, cunning and strongest villans. However he let his pride get in the way. The Androids 17 & 18 were cruel and powerful. They made SSJ Vegeta look like a joke. The Androids is our top villains in the Dragonball Universe.

Bond Is Back! James Bond Bloodstone Story Trailer.

If you don't know by now. I'm a huge Daniel Craig James Bond fan. I feel that he brought so much character and emotion to the role. Well I'm really excited about the new Bond game. It's called James Bond Bloodstone and it's coming out November 4th. Then 2 days before that GoldenEye is coming to the Wii. Needless to say I will be in Bond overload.

Wii Mote Vibrator

Wow is all I have to say is wow. Mojowijo company has made a wii mote that well you know, gives pleasure to your girl. According to Asylum.com "The Wii Vibrator uses Motion2Vibration technology, the vibrator works hand-in-hand (heh) to send good vibes to another device in the same room -- over even over Skype -- to direct your partner's pleasure." Just wow. Credit to Ign.com and Asylum.com
