Due to the fact that most likely my wife won't be extreme geek. Plus my parents and family will really freak out, if I come there with a Gundam suit on. However check out these geeky weddings.

Extreme Fanboys

If there is one thing I can't stand about being a gamer or anime fan, is that you eventually encounter fanboys. For those who are not familiar with the term fanboy. Here is various definitions that I have found online. The type of fanboys I'm describing in this rant are Extreme Fanboys.

1. Fanboy - A person who is completely loyal to a game or company regardless of if they suck or not.

2. Fanboy - A pathetic insult often used by fanboys themselves to try and put down people who don't like whatever it is they like.

3. Fanboy - An arrogant person who goes into an outburst every time something he likes is questioned. Fanboys usually accuse others of being fanboys.



Now that you are up to speed of what a fanboy is, allow me to show you a full example of a fanboy. About three weeks ago. I made a Youtube video of a wish list for characters I would like to see in Marvel Vs Capcom 3. Some of my characters were Kingpin, Hit-Girl and as a bonus Mickey Mouse. I clearly stated in the video since Disney owns Marvel, that it will be cool to see a Kingdom Hearts character. If you ever played Kingdom Hearts 2 then you know Mickey can kick some ass. I figured since Capcom features campy characters in there games, why not have one more. Unfortunately one Marvel Vs Capcom fanboy didn't like that idea. Instead of disagreeing with me, he decided to insult with no reason. Read it below. Yes that's his Youtube name.

Justin - Do you see any statement of why this fanboy disagrees with me? Or do you just see racism for me being African American? This is the major problem I have with fanboys. They're so full of themselves and blinded, that they can't even respect people's perspectives without insulting them. Its a sickness that needs to die in the Anime and Gaming community. I cannot count how many times I go into Gamestop and get an unwanted review of the product I'm buying. I don't need you to tell me what you think of the product, or why you hate it just take my money and let me go.

What's wrong with Fanboys?
I think the problem with fanboys is that they invest too much time into what they love. In other words they have nothing else but this product. They are so invested into something that is pure fiction, they can't even see the reality of their own obsession. Their undying loyalty has blinded them from trying out other things, which makes them close minded. It's really sad to see how crazy Justin Bieber fans get when someone doesn't like his music. Or how crazy someone gets if they don't like the PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii. My question is why are they investing so much time on things that are not effecting their daily lives? Is it really killing them that someone doesn't like their game or anime? I think the root of the problem is the person itself.

Now I'm not a psychologist or anything, however if someone is obsessed with something they might be covering up some inner personal battle. There was no reason for zakkthebrainsmasher to insult me with no reason. Fanboys need to become more open minded. They need to start investing their time and energy on things that matter. Yes I'm a gamer and I love anime. However that is only about 25% of who I am. For some fanboys that is 100% and that is where the danger lies. For some people their entire lives is eating, breathing and living these fictional reality. There lives is anime and gaming and they will kill you if they feel their world is threaten.

There is nothing wrong with having preferences. I prefer PS3 over Xbox 360 because I have been with Sony since the Playstation 1. However that loyalty is not going to stop me from buying a Xbox 360. Xbox 360 has great games as well, why would I want to limit myself? This is what fanboys don't understand. They're limiting their options and experiences. Fanboys also tend to make their opinions as facts. Reading this rant you should know these are my opinions. I'm not stating them as fact. Here is an example of an fanboy opinion that he turns facts.

"Gears Of War 2 is the best shooter of all time. Halo sucks!" - The fanboy didn't even give evidence of Gears being the best shooter. He didn't give reasons of why Halo sucks! Do you see where I'm getting at?

Final Word - Unless fanboys start to convert their time to other hobbies. They will forever be despised in the gaming community in my eyes. You know that saying "Nobody likes a fanboy" there might be some truth to that. Who wants to hang around someone who is obsessed with a product? Who wants to be around someone who can't even take a day in reality? Who wants to be around someone who can't unplug from the Matrix once in a while? I sure don't. Fanboys are giving gamers and anime fans a bad name. It's time for us who consider ourselves Otakus and Geeks to put them in check once and for all.

Hokuto Musou Hands On Preview

Kenshiro is back and ready to bring several fistfuls of justice to your home consoles in Hokuto Musou (Fist of the North Star) for the PS3 and Xbox 360. After spending a bit of time with the Japanese version I'm here to give a small hands on preview of the game.

"But wait, what the hell is Fist of the North Star?" You ask.
I respond with this:

Cool, now that you're all up to speed let's talk about the game.

Hokuto Musou follows the adventures of Kenshiro and his friends as they journey through the wasteland defending the weak and innocent from ruthless gangs. Since Ken has had countless battles, the game only features his important fights. Fans of the series will recognize many familiar scenes and characters as the game stays very faithful to the original series.

The game almost never deviates from the source material of the series at all,
so fans should be pleased.

There are two different game play modes, the Story mode and the Dynasty mode. During the story mode, you choose which character you'd like to play as and watch as their story unfolds. Stages during this mode are pretty linear, so you'll mostly be following a straight path to the stage boss at the end of the level. Throughout stages in story mode you'll be presented with "challenges." Most of these challenges require you to do things such as beat up a certain amount of goons, or beat up a large amount of goons in four minutes, or beat up a larger amount of goons before they beat up a few villagers. Every once in a while the game mixes things up and offers a challenge unique to that level, though you'll still beat something up in the end. After completing a challenge you earn a star point for your star meter. Each stage has seven star points to get, and earning a star point earns you bonuses and power ups that last for the rest of the stage. Despite the linearity of the stages, it's still well worth your time to stop and wander off the beaten path for a little while. Many of the challenges are hidden in hard to reach areas or require a bit of backtracking to locate.

Visually this is probably one of the best looking "Warriors" games I've ever seen.

Players familiar with the Dynasty Warriors series should probably feel at home with the Hokuto Musou's Dynasty mode. In this mode, players take the role of any of their unlocked characters and run around a very large map completing various objectives (read: beat people up). Although you're mostly beating up more goons, a few things differentiate this mode from the normal story mode. During Dynasty mode, you will usually encounter many more enemies on screen at once, and like in Dynasty Warriors, you'll also have a small army of your own to help fight your enemies. Another neat addition to the Dynasty mode is the split-screen co-op mode in which you and a buddy choose your own characters and mow down hordes of enemies together.

After each stage, you can use your skill points that you've acquired throughout the level to upgrade your character to have special abilities, more health, or higher attack power. And you'll need to upgrade, as the game gets increasingly difficult in some of the later stages.

I didn't mention it, but there are also quite a few supers and finish moves you can
pull off to brutally decimate your opponents.

With an easy to learn fighting system, a nice selection of unlockable characters, and a fair share of challenging bosses, Hokuto Musou manages to be a solid beat-em-up. Although Tecmo Koei hasn't given an official release date for the UK/US versions, you can expect to play it sometime soon.

YGOAS Leather Pants, Leather Shoes and Yugi VS Jaden Battle

On the YGOAS video on the site, LittleKuribo did a parody with Yugioh and Lady GaGa called leather pants. The one thats on
the site was the incomplete version at an anime con. Even though it was incomplete, it was epic.
Its frickin awesome and makes me laugh every time. There is also a vid called Yugi VS Jaden Battle.
Yet again pure genius. LittleKuriboh if you happen to read this, you are awesome. Keep
doing what you do. Your vids can't be beat. Anyway enjoy the hilarity. Anime Rules!!!!!!!

I just heard that Vampire Knight is going to be dubbed so I decided to make a fanfic of this exciting news. I love Vampire Knight and I know people out there who love this great show will be happy that it’s finally going to be dubbed. So enjoy my fanfic. This is my first one so be kind with comments. 1st day at Cross Academy

Anime Angel: What a nice school. I hope this is better then my old one. Huh, what’s with that crowd over at that gate?

Yuki: Ok people it’s time to call it a day! All people from the Day Class must return to their dorms!

Anime Angel: It’s strange how they are the Day Class and their wearing black. It’s an oxymoron in itself. (Well I did read the student handbook on uniforms). Anyway I need to find someone who will help figure out what to do with myself.
Maybe I should wait until after the crowd disappears.

Yuki: Come one guys I’m not joking!

Girl Student: If I didn’t see it with my own eyes. Are you trying to keep these beautiful boys for yourself Yuki-san?!? I thought you had more self control then that.

Yuki: Wha? I’m a prefect. I protect the Night Class from danger including pushy fangirls who need a life than standing outside this gate to wait for a boy to leap into their arms!

Girl Student: What did you say?!?

Boy Student: Cat Fight!

Zero: And so it begins.

Yuki: Ah Zero you can give me a hand over here?

(The gates opened and cue *your choice of a dramatic score here. *)

Yuki: Darn it. So close.

Kaname: Hello Yuki. Do you need help?

Anime Angel: Wow. Look at those students. They’re so beautiful.

All Girl Students: KAWAII!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zero: Ok you rubberneckers get back to your dorms NOW!

All Girl Students: Fine!

Kaname: Yuki will you be ok?

Yuki: Kaname-senpai…I’ll be ok. Nothing too serious. Thanks for your consideration.

Kaname: Hmm. You know you don’t have to be so formal with me.

*Cuts in between them*

Zero: I think its time for you to head to class.

Kaname: Of course. Have a nice day, Yuki. Zero. Oh and by the way, looks like you have a guest.

Anime Angel: (I’m guessing the guest would be me).

Kaname: Hello there. My name is Kaname. I’m head of the Night Class.

Anime Angel: It’s nice to meet you. My name is Angel. I just transferred here from my old school. It’s very nice to meet you.

Kaname: I hope you feel right at home here. Excuse me.

Anime Angel: Thank you and have a good night.

Yuki: Oh so you must be the new student. Please come with me so you can meet the chairman.

Anime Angel: Thank you.

Later that night…

Chairman Cross: Oh! Welcome Angel-kun. I see you met the Night class.

Anime Angel: Yes. Surprisingly they are very well mannered.

Yuki: Well you don’t have to worry about this school. Trust me we don’t bite.

Zero: Except for the Night Class….

*Yuki elbows into Zero stomach*

Zero: Ow! What was that for?
Chairman (while Zero and Yuki are fighting in the background): So you know our dirty little secret huh?

(Yuki and Zero stops arguing and look at me).

Anime Angel: I knew who they really were when I first saw them coming out of the gate. They have a certain aura about them especially Kaname.

Chairman: So what they say about you is true. You DO have awesome abilities that a normal human doesn’t have.

Anime Angel: That’s right and I will show you my true power when the times comes. Right now I’m just a normal girl.

Chairman: Of course. Yuki, Zero please show Angel to her room.

Yuki: Yes sir.

Zero: ….

Chairman: Oh and Angel….

Anime Angel: Yes sir?

Chairman: I’m hope that you’ll get along with the Night Class and Zero. You will be a wonderful student here at the Academy. Now go and get some rest. You have a big day tomorrow.

Anime Angel: Yes sir!

(Leaves the room).

Chairman: Yes a wonderful student indeed…

Iron Man 2 Review

You the know the saying "A hero is only as good as his villian and obstacles." That's how I feel about Iron Man 2. Iron Man 2 was released last friday. It's the sequel to the 2008 blockbuster hit "Iron Man." Here is the cast below.

Story - The story in Iron Man 2 is all over the place. It's like a game of 52 pick up. I'll try to make it short, simple and spoiler free. Tony Stark has brought world peace and is enjoying his new found celebrity. The government wants Stark to hand over the Iron Man suit. Tony is also slowly dying which he is trying to keep it a secret from his friends. Then for someone reason he enters a grand prix race. Why would someone with dying enter a grand prix race? Shouldn't that effect his condition in someway? Anyway enters Whiplash a Russian dude (Mickey Rourke)who wants to destroy Tony Stark for Tony's father decisions. Not to mention Stark business Rival Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell) is after Tony's Iron Man Suit design. Wait there is more stories going on. Nick Fury (Sam Jackson) sends Black Widow (Scarlett Joahnsson lucky Ryan Reynolds) to secretly asset Tony Stark to see if his capable of joining the Avengers. Wait there is more, let's not forget about Tony best friend James Rhodes (Don Cheadle). James has darken his skin color and never explain why (joking). Well Rhodes wants the suit for the government and ends up becoming War Machine.

A lot happening in a two hour movie. The problem I have with the story is that it's not executed well. A lot of characters are not developed. Whiplash and Justin Hammer are not a real threat to Iron Man. They have a reason of why they want Tony Stark gone. However it's not really fully explored like in other movies like The Dark Knight, Spiderman 2 and even Iron Man. The villains were boring and watching Justin Hammer whine like a 16 year old girl was annoying. I felt the main focus should have been Tony's heart condition and drinking problem. They were originally going to make the movie dark, but director decided to re shoot some scenes and make it fun. I really wish they went the dark route. A major problem I had watching this was that it was an Avengers advertisement. Do NOT advertise a movie within another movie. A smart writer can set up another movie without showing off the goods. We didn't really need to see someones weapon appearing. The story suffers from too much going on at once.

Acting There is nothing wrong with the acting in this movie. RDJ is wonderful as usual. I did find Sam Rockwelll annoying, but he played it very well. Mickey Rourke was good accent wise, but he look like he was bored and the role was not challenging. It must of been the under developed script for his character. Don Cheadle as War Machine and James Rhodes, I felt he did a good job but I miss Terrance Howard, only because I hate when they change people for roles. I think Cheadle did a great job taking over the reigns. Scarlett was missing the accent. Gwen was great as usual. Sam Jackson as Nick Fury I'm still not convinced. It just seems Sam is being Sam with a patch over his eye.

Pros - Great CGI and Camera shots, Great Acting, Nice Musicial Score. First 40 min's was wonderful.

Cons - Movie drags after the first 40 mins. Tony's problems are not deeply explored. All the action scenes are in the trailer. Story is all over the place. Under developed and boring Villains. Too much advertisement for the Avengers movie. Birthday scene should have been cut.

Final Grade: C+ Average at best too me! However go see it for yourselves and tell me what you think.

Anime Convention Cold Read 2009

For those who don't know. A Cold Read is when the voice actors read a script. They choose a voice to find the best voice for the character. This happen last year at the convention. It was pretty funny and fun to watch. The voice actors featured in this reading are Vic Mignogna , Kyle Herbert, Mike McFarland, Chris Patton, Wendy Powell, Samantha Inoue-Harteand, Anthony Brownrigg and Guest Starring: Kailey Peak.
